The wait is finally over…..

Yesterday we received news from the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Dept that we have been granted what is known as Section 88 Charitable status here in Hong Kong. It has been a long wait for sure which is now the norm in Hong Kong. Lots of back and forth amending the Articles of Association but finally the wait is over.

So what does this mean?

We can finally use the “D” word…..DONATE. Up until now we have asked for support by sponsoring some of our activities which is not ideal but now we can openly ask for donations to support our work. Whether that is for our Shark Fin investigations, research into the wild life crime of endangered species around the world, hauling ghost nets out of the water or our never ending work on marine debris.

WAYS TO DONATE

Up until now we have received great support through our PATREON account as well as supporters buying our merchandise in our online store hosted by Printify. In the coming weeks we will have all our bank account setup for the foundation so we will be able receive funds and issue tax deductable receipts.
